Usama Ejaz Co-Founder of SocialBu

Usama, an engineer and startup founder is the CEO of SocialBu.

He is currently working to make SocialBu the best social media management and automation platform.

SocialBu was born from where?

As a freelancer, I’ve worked for many years.

I have managed many social media accounts for several companies.

I needed an easy way to manage my social media accounts.

I tried many tools, but none had the answer I needed.

A solid technical background means that I began coding automation workflows, and that is how I built SocialBu.

You could say that the idea was born from scratching my itch.

How do you stay productive?

My typical day begins at 9 am. My work hours are usually between 10 and 11.

I start by clearing out essential emails and any pending messages.

Once that is done, I move on to marketing tasks.

Marketing is a part of my daily routine.

I spend about 40% of my working hours on it.

These are my daily tasks. These are my ongoing tasks.

I then start to work on what I’m currently working on.

Sometimes it’s product development, managing a team, or coding.

I usually focus on urgent but low-priority tasks after 6 pm.

Sometimes I play badminton with my friends.

Reading blogs or exploring new ideas and other things that don’t require much energy are some of my favorite activities.

I don’t have an entrepreneurial or high productivity routine.

But I’m okay with it (and it’s slowly improving). It can certainly improve.

How do you bring ideas to life?

First, I ensure that the idea I am working on is worthwhile.

If it’s not worth it, I will do it myself.

If the answer is yes, I share it with my team members.

After a discussion, the picture becomes polished and ready for execution (if we decide).

Our work is broken down into milestones, and then we complete them.

This makes it simple to bring big ideas into reality.

What’s your favorite trend?

It is fascinating to see people work on different startups and focus on impossible missions without the internet.

It is exciting to see more people go entrepreneurial.

I am particularly interested in “bootstrapped startups.”

What habits make you productive?

My day is divided into three parts. The first part is for urgent, quick tasks.

The second section is for more time-consuming tasks (e.g., building or implementing marketing campaigns or similar jobs).

These are essential tasks with a deadline.

This is the third section of my day, which is for low-priority functions or doesn’t take much time/energy and is not very urgent.

It seems to be working well for me.

What’s your advice for the Noob?

Before you launch your product, it is crucial to building an audience.
Marketing is worth your time and effort.

You don’t need to put it off. Make it part of your daily life.

– Launch, improve and then repeat. Do not wait to launch the perfect product or plan.

– Don’t run out of money when you start a startup. You should be able to sustain it for a few months.

What is one thing we can all agree on?

You can enjoy criticism and “heated meetings” without feeling stressed or panicked.

What do you recommend as an entrepreneur?

Reading is important. Reading should be a regular part of your daily routine.

This will allow you to read without having to expend any energy. Books and blogs are both possible.

What’s your rich strategy?

Content creation and distribution work for nearly every business. It works for us too.

We can promote and distribute more content if we create more content.

This will lead to more growth for our company.

How do you overcome Failure?

Failure is not something I consider “failure.” I view failures as part and parcel of the learning process.

We learned from that failure. It was challenging to find customers at first.

We tried many things, including blogging and paid ads. But there was no growth.

We still do those things, but we don’t fail anymore. We learned from our mistakes.

We wouldn’t have been here without those lessons.

Can you share a business idea?

Which one of your daily routines do you find most frustrating? Is there a way to fix it? This is your chance to solve the problem.
You can save time and money for yourself or someone else. It could be anything.
SMS Campaign Management Tool

– Review management software
CTO as a Service

– Drag/drop new tab page designer for Chrome

– AI email assistant (plugin to Gmail, Outlook, and others)
Or whatever interests you most.

Please make sure you do market research and make sure that people will pay for it. Then, go!

What’s your recent best buy?

A subscription was purchased to an automation platform to automate some workflows between our CRM and helpdesk.

Automation is worth the effort if it saves you time every single day.

What are your favorite Softwares or Apps?

Recently, I started to be active on LinkedIn and Twitter (important if your target audience is on these sites).

SocialBu (our product) is a great tool that I use to help me do this.

Jasper, an AI writing tool that eliminates the need for writers to maintain a blog, is also worth noting.

Basecamp is my best friend. Basecamp is essential for team productivity.

Which book would you recommend?

Shape Up by Basecamp: This program teaches you to focus on the things that matter most and avoid getting distracted.

What’s your favorite quote?

“As soon as you begin to walk on the path, the way will appear.”

TL;DR by Usama Ejaz

  • You can solve a problem for yourself or others.
  • Get to know your audience.
  • Start early and don’t be afraid of failure. Keep improving.
  • Marketing should be part of your daily life.
