Red Orka is a company that makes circular baby clothes. Erik founded it. Its mission is to conserve energy and resources.

What is the story of Red Orka?

In 1957, my grandfather began making baby clothes to create high-quality, durable garments.

The company is still in existence, and I was curious if we could offer the same high-quality products to more people with fast fashion.

A subscription model allows me to offer one garment per customer and impacts the environment.

Red Orka derives its name from the Dutch redden, which means “save” in Englisch.

Orka is Icelandic and refers to the energy that saves us.

How do you stay productive?

There is no typical day for me. Every day is exciting and different.

Startups have the advantage of being flexible and being flexible.

It’s the best thing about starting a business. It is never dull.

It’s possible to dream it if you believe it! Don’t be afraid to share your insecurity with others.

The corona measurements include QR codes that allow you to enter any public space, restaurant, or sports venue.

They are an indirect tool used by the government to make you vaccinated.

I’m vaccinated, and I understand the point. Others don’t see it, and that should be respected.

I take a lot of time for myself, go to nature for a weekend alone, reflect on my experiences, and develop new strategies.

Romper for Subscription allows us to offer a new way to consume baby romper.

Being in shops also allowed us direct contact with our customers.

I tried to participate in many events for impact entrepreneurs, but I failed every time.

I am also disappointed that experts have deemed my business not good enough.

I realized my ego was hurting and had nothing to do with my business.

This is how I overcame any other failure. Even if the product was rejected, it was still a step closer to success.

Can you share a business idea?

Subscriptions are something that interests me.

A subscription box for vitamins or medicine would be a good idea.

TL;DR by Erik Ammann

  • Don’t let your ego get in the way of business success.
  • It is easy to just do it. People often overthink situations and think of all possible outcomes. Instead of doing the right thing and learning from mistakes, they do it.
  • The future is subscription-based business.
