Walt launched ShatterSafe Reusable Glass Bottle in 2020.

It is a reusable, exterior-coated glass bottle technology company.

The glass has a permanent BPA/Phthalate-free coating on the outside. It is dishwasher safe.

The glass is harder to break, and it doesn’t mess with sharp glass shards if it fails.

After six years of college Chemistry, Walt became an Environmental Chemistry/Scientist.

He has been an Environmental Chemist for 25 years. His last eight years in Environmental Chemistry were spent at General Physics Corporation (NYSE: GPX).

He was Vice President of the Environmental Laboratory Division for GPC, where he managed over 70 employees.

He started a (now defunct) reusable glass water bottles company in 2012—Google; NY Times Pure Glass Bottle to learn more about the former reusable glass bottle business.

After ten years of doing absolutely nothing with the technology, the distributor/partner mentioned in an article recently was released.

Walt developed a permanent, clear exterior coating for glass bottles after trying different layers on various types of glass bottles.

The ShatterSafe glass bottle can hold all liquids safely, including fruit juice, carbonated soda, and protein shakes.

It is dishwasher-safe and will not cause glass shards if the glass breaks.

It’s more affordable than the old glass bottle coating, and it is of better quality.

Walt states that future ShatterSafe coated. Glass products will include: Color coated bottles, double-wall bottles, and carbonization soda bottles. Protein shaker bottles.

Blender bottles. Food jars. He is looking for a partner/investor/CEO/owner who can take charge of the company and help bring this disruptive technology to market and make this an epic reusable glass bottle company.

What is the story of the idea for the ShatterSafe Reusable Coated Glass Bottle?

My experience as an Environmental Chemist has been over 25 years.

To test soil and water in the laboratory, we would be given chemicals in glass containers.

The glass bottles were coated with a permanent clear plastic coating to ensure safety for the substances and the people who handle them.

As someone who has always been concerned about the environment and health, I was intrigued to see more metal and reusable plastic bottles on the market.

I also wondered why glass wasn’t being used for reusable drinks containers as glass is a preferred material over plastic or metal.

People were afraid to leave their homes because of the danger and mess that glass could cause if it breaks in public places.

ShatterSafe Glass bottle was born. It is a reusable glass bottle that can have designs printed onto the glass, and then a clear coating (or color) applied to the bottle so the contents can be seen without covering the entire bottle.

ShatterSafe coating is 100% dishwasher-safe, BPA, and Phthalate-free and can be permanently applied to the glass.

How do you stay productive?

My occupation(s) requires me to wear many hats. I’m currently seeking a co-owner or partner to help me make this product the disruptive technology I know.

It can be used to coat reusable glass water bottles and double-wall coffee travel mugs, beer growlers, and other products.

Part of my day is spent looking for a partner/co-owner to take over the technology and make it a multi-million-dollar company.

I’m looking for an Owner/Partner/CEO that sees the vision of people wanting to drink from a glass.

With ShatterSafe, any product made from metal or plastic can now be made from glass for safe use on the go.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I’m always looking at new products and trying to find a better way of approaching them.

The design is then drawn in my notebook. Then refine the design and begin looking at production options.

What’s your favorite trend?

It is becoming more apparent that it is possible to maintain a healthy lifestyle and even improve it by simply making small changes, such as purchasing products that are not intended for one-time use.

It is now possible to use reusable and recyclable products instead of single-use items.

It is possible to improve your health and reduce disposable products.

What habits make you productive?

Keep your original idea in mind, but keep learning and changing.

What’s your advice for the Noob?

If you are able, go it alone. If you’re not able to think clearly about who you would like to help and ensure they are the right fit.

What is one thing we can all agree on?

Plastic is a beautiful product, but it has been used for many purposes.

Research has shown that credit card plastic is consumed by more people each week than any other type of plastic.

Studies have also shown that many everyday products contain endocrine disruptors, such as plastic bottles and containers and metal food can liners.

Some plastic food items used for food will be referred to as “lead drinking vessels of the Roman Empire,” which refers to the lead slowly poisoning people in ancient Rome.

What do you recommend as an entrepreneur?

Even if it isn’t essential to others, I will continue trying to fix my mistakes and problems.

While you can’t be perfect, if you are aware of a business problem and don’t fix it immediately, it will only make the situation worse and the “force” to set it exponentially.

What’s your rich strategy?

A vast knowledge base is essential. You need to understand the market and how a product fits into it.

This applies to ShatterSafe Glass and my time at General Physics Laboratory.

Understanding the market and the needs of the client will ensure success.

How do you overcome Failure?

I started my first company of coated glass water bottles in 2012 and partnered with a distributor/partner who had me under contract for nearly ten years.

He did not do anything with the technology.

He approached large chain stores about the product, but they declined to be interested.

He has recently released me from the agreement.

I am looking for a new partner/CEO to take over the company as co-owner and a technical advisor, and a 100% shareholder.

They would manage the day-to-day sales and marketing operations and could find venture capital or their funds to support daily operations and production.

Can you share a business idea?

The American Inner City or War Zone photo book.

You would see similar photos of buildings falling, and it would be called an American Inner City.

People in a food line. American Inner City, War Zone.

Sometimes, you may need to look in the mirror to see what’s right in front of you.

What’s your recent best buy?

I gave more than $100 to Maryland Food Bank. It was money that I felt was well spent.

It is shocking to see the disparity in income and education opportunities between those in need.

You can’t eat enough to be healthy. This will make it impossible to see the bigger picture and improve your life.

What are your favorite Softwares or Apps?

WhatsApp I use for face-to-face conversations with people from all over the world and across the country.

Which book would you recommend?

While I don’t read many books, I get magazines on paper, such as Wired, Forbes, and Entertainment Weekly.

I enjoy reading current articles on business topics and other topics of interest to me.

What’s your favorite quote?

You can’t do it all.

TL;DR by Walt Himelstein

Realize that you are unique and no one person can do everything. Hire or team up with people who have different knowledge.

Find a product or service and find ways to improve it.

If it solves a problem or makes it easier for them, people are always looking for “better mousetraps.”

Success is about building on small successes and growing from them into the company you want.
