What’s your career story?

Since the time I was able to remember, entertainment and technology have been my passions.

I knew I wanted to pursue a career that combines these two passions at a young age.

A lightbulb went off after I read Seth Godin’s Purple Cow.

Since then, I have not looked back. That is what drove me to the marketing industry.

How do you stay productive?

This is the beauty of the industry: every day is different.

You need to do many time-sensitive tasks, such as brainstorming sessions, client firefighting, and launching significant initiatives.

I try to get up at 6 AM so that I have time to check my emails and see if any breaking news is on Twitter or CNBC.

My daughter usually wakes up at 7 AM, which allows us to bond and play together before she heads off to school. It’s time to go.

Time management is essential if you want to stay productive.

Daily lists are a favorite of mine.

I check my calendar every 60 minutes to ensure deadlines are not missed, and there is enough time to complete essential tasks between meetings or calls.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Visualizing things is essential to me. After logging off for the day, I like to start my day with a brainstorming session or think aloud on daily walks.

I will write it down if the idea is appealing to me and I believe it has legs.

I then whiteboard it so that I can see it clearly and I can work against it to bring it to fruition.

What’s your favorite trend?

I am excited about the evolution of hybrid work models.

COVID has demonstrated to everyone in nearly every industry that the idea of working from an office five days a week and being glued to your desk is obsolete.

This is even more true now with the rise of hybrid work models.

What habits make you productive?

The inbox zero clubs is a great idea.

To keep ideas, conversations and projects moving, I respond in real-time to all emails.

I don’t want to be the cause of any delay or slowdown.

What’s your advice for the Noob?

Failure is okay. It’s okay to fail.

Failure is how you learn and grow.

What is one thing we can all agree on?

Everything has beauty.

All you need is to know where to look.

What do you recommend as an entrepreneur?

Celebrate small victories and wins. Everybody wants to get from 0 to 100.

However, that is not possible without overcoming many obstacles and hurdles.

Even though they may not be essential or make a difference, these little victories add up and help you reach the real goal that you are chasing.

What’s your rich strategy?

Networking. There is no other way.

Trust me; it’s not something I don’t understand.

Many people are afraid of it and want to avoid it.

Because networking can be forced or influenced by a motive or agenda before it takes place, people get into a sell mode when they think about networking.

This is a terrible way to network, limiting your future opportunities.

Networking is like going out on a date or meeting new friends.

It’s about engaging in a conversation with someone new that you don’t know.

It’s essential to listen to them! What can you do to help them? What problem do they want to solve?

What is their biggest headache? These are essential points to remember to find solutions or intros that you might be able.

This builds long-term relationships, not just business cards you pick up at events.

Although you might not immediately see the results, this will have a significant impact on your career and personal life over time.

How do you overcome Failure?

It is almost impossible to concentrate on one failure because I am human like everyone else, and there are many.

It’s more important to learn from your failures and use them to help you move forward.

This is where you will see real growth.

It is essential to keep going and bounce back.

It is only half of the battle not to give up.

Can you share a business idea?

I love the idea that there is an online marketplace for baby gear.

People can rent or borrow certain items such as strollers, car seats, cribs, and car seats.

It’s like an Airbnb for baby equipment.

Which was the most expensive $100 you spent recently?

It would be music classes for our daughter.

It is fantastic to see how much she loves music and how it makes her happy.

What are your favorite Softwares or Apps?

Slack. Slack is an excellent tool for anyone obsessed with inbox zero.

Which book would you recommend?

Bob Iger’s Ride of a Lifetime is one of my favorite books.

It is a must-read for any business professional.

His unique approach to leadership is fascinating.

His personal story is remarkable and inspirational.

What’s your favorite quote?

Do not let fear of striking out stop you from enjoying the game.

Babe Ruth

TL;DR; by Austin Rotter
